    1. @Samantha Bangayan You make my day, Sam, thanks a ton. Would you believe I take most pictures with my iPhone (with Camera Plus App)? That app does wonders for you! Switzerland is not an ideal country to grow lemons, the winters are too cold but then my trees are in a hothouse now and will be given some professional care! If only we could do the same for ourselves!

    1. @jonesbabie What is about lemons that is so alluring? Cathy, do you have any recipes for lemon lemonade (love that word)? Lemon honey, lemon curd (not a fan of it so much as it tastes too “eggy”), lemon chutney, lemon tart?

  1. Gorgeous! I love lemons in everything. I use them so much when I cook. And I love lemonade with lots of mint from my garden. What are you going to do with yours?

    1. @laliavoce Thanks, Kathy, they are so lovely sitting in that old and well used basket! As they are absolutely natural and untreated I use them for everything: fresh (is there any old?) tap water with a spring of mint (I have it in pots all year round) and slices of lemon, I used some juice and zest in a pasta sauce (onions and lots of olive oil, bay leaf, add chopped anchovies, capers, olives, chili, datterini tomatoes) for a dinner on Friday, I give them away, and I might preserve them in salt, I do not know yet. Any tips? I love cooking, can you tell?

  2. You are so lucky! And blessed! I love growing stuff. Fruit trees are my dream. Stan Faryna (@Faryna) just made a chicken pot pie with lemon in the pie crust. The picture is on his most recent Blog Soup http://t.co/YaMR0PrA. One more good idea for lemons!

I squeeze them into some warm water, add a little pure maple syrup, and a little organic cayenne pepper. Wakes you right up and helps you feel great!

    Good luck with yours!

    1. @BetsyKCross HI, Betsy, yes, you are right: I feel blessed and lucky growing stuff, it makes me feel rooted.

Thanks for the link to Stan’s recipe and I will make your lemon drink (what do you think about adding a little grated ginger?) and have a great Sunday!

    1. @JSJ2020 Ah, et la tarte aux citrons! I can taste it in my mouth, another drooling PBAU! Do you have a special recipe for it? You have just given me an idea for a post on lemon recipes …

Thanks and a lovely evening in London!

    1. @1plus1wednesday Hi, Adrienne, thanks, it is indeed great to have all kinds of trees, when I bought this lemon tree it was about 3 – 4 years old and had its branches twisted into stupid circles (bonsai for a bonsai flat?), I felt like a midwife at a breech birth undoing the twists and watching it slowly grow into its present height of about 2 meters. You know, I would prefer it to be somewhere in Tuscany in the country (and of course, I would have to go along to look after it)!

Have a lovely Sunday (is it as cold and grey in the States as here?)!

    1. @jpage.manuel Good morning to you, Joy. Thanks, and you guessed right: I do not mind having much to do in the kitchen :-)! Any lemon recipes you would like to share – would appreciate it very much!
