It is the end of the cherry season, the memories of walks amongst the cherry trees will linger, the sun kissed smells of nature captured in numerous pictures.
Today, I will bake the last cherry almond cake of this season. You will find the recipe further below.
Lovely juicy cherries
Batter – ready to go into the oven
Mhhhhhh – ready to eat
And here comes the promised recipe for Late Bloomers Cherry Almond Cake. Try out this recipe with other seasonal fruit such as apricot, peaches, apples, it works equally well.

I started eating dried tart cherries and my muscles don’t ache. I watched it on Dr. Oz. show. I found some great recipes from the site http://www.tartcherryrecipes.com

Thanks, Ari, more recipes will follow, I promise. Love your banana bread recipe, sounds easy and enticing. Have a lovely day!
That looks delicious, going to try a non wheat/non dairy version of it 🙂
@kittiewalker Thanks, Kittie, let me know what you use instead of wheat . You are so lucky in the States, you have far more substitute products for wheat. But we are slowly catching on here in Europe.
The recipe goes well with apples, too.
Happy baking, Barbara
