Day #15
Today we drove to a place near Zurich to visit a trader fair. This would make for a nice blog post but I want to tell you a different story today:
When I came home in the late afternoon I wanted to use my mobile and could not find it anywhere. No panic, think first where you used it last. In the car and as we did not take my car today it must be in the car of my friend.
Give her a call then. Easier said than done: go figure! Where do you save your phone numbers? Exactly, on the mobile …
If you are lucky and organised you will have a proper database with all the current phone numbers. Well, I am kind of organised but not that lucky: i had her old phone number when you get that lovely message “ding dong this is an invalid number”.
It finally came into my mind that I had downloaded an app called Find iPhone (and other devices) and I checked my iPad. BINGO, it gave me the exact address where my iPhone is.
And for once an app made me a very happy person and proved to be very useful!

Lesson learnt and in future I will heed several things:
- Make sure you have your mobile with you when leaving somebody else’s car
- Save your friends’ details not only on your mobile
- Download the free app “Find iPhone” (or whatever) on several devices
- Keep your database updated
Day #15 leaves me a very happy person in the end even without a mobile phone for the rest of the day!
