Day 3
You do not really want to know what I have been up to today, do you?
Ok, here goes: I have been preparing the paper work for the tax declaration. Rather late, in Basel you can prolong the due date till September 30. And I could easily write a lengthy post about procrastination … I could also say that it would be bad manners to ignore such an invitation, no?
How do you deal with unloved tasks? Each time I find myself in such a situation I declare (well, only to myself) that in future I will handle it better. Why postpone something and have it hung around your neck for ages? Get done with it!
Cool picture, is it not?
I will spare you the details of my swearing, I think of myself as a rather organised person, stowing away documents in the right folders the moment they land in my mailbox. But where the heck are the all receipts slips that hopefully find grace with the tax department and will be deductible? I found them on the window sill.
It is now 8 pm and I am looking forward to a plate of pasta with homemade basil pesto. I guess you’d rather have the recipe for it than keep listening to my ranting. It will come, the month of September has barely started.
The rest of the week looks more promising: a dentist appointment (argh), a visit to the local farmer market on Thursday (hurray!) and the summer weather will continue.
Have a great evening!

I look forward to that recipe 🙂 And keep up the great commitment to daily writing…3 down, more to go. Cheers! Kaarina
Hi Barbara! I made basil pesto too! And earlier in the summer I made scape pesto with the garlic scapes. Like Kaarina, I look forward to seeing your recipe. I find the two combined make a great topping for Greek Pizza!
So you can procrastinate on your taxes until the end of September?!?!? Yes, you could write a post on procrastination. I get that business done as soon as I can 😮
Hope your summer weather continues. It was raining here but – warm!
Lori
KDillabough Thanks, Kaarina, and yes, the recipe will come with a bonus on top! It is a great commitment, I am aware of it. And I have already realised one great thing: daily writing forces you to be focused and fast, yesterday’s post took me 20 minutes including picture.
Lori LOL, I knew you would say that and I had you in mind when I wrote it!
Yes, the summer weather continues: we have two mini scorchers ahead! The nights are cool, this makes for easy and restful sleeping.
See you soon and have a wonderful morning!
