Day #18
Normally Wednesdays are cleaning days as my much appreciated whirlwind comes every other week to organise my household.
I have been preserving lots and lots of jars these last weeks and never got around to labelling them. Guess what? Today is the day to get things done:
Sugo napoletano that has simmered for 48 hours
I am mightily pleased with my output today.
I am not a big football fan (for my American friends: soccer) but when my hometown club plays the Europa League I will watch, especially when they play in London against Chelsea.
A rather dismaying result (1:0) at half time but then the luck with us: we won 1:2. Can you believe this: rather unknown Basel against one of the biggest European teams and we WIN!
May I be excused for only posting now.
Day #18 Sometimes there is a reason for later delivery!
Have you ever made this experience that unforeseen events took precedence? How did you feel about it?

Hi Barbara! I am not good with unforeseen events such as my computer acting up when I just got up cleaned and upgraded. Seems the fellow I hired did something wrong 😮 Anyway, I’m becoming good at solving problems – maybe I’ll get good at handling unforeseen events.
The sugo napoletano looks good! 🙂 A productive day indeed!
Lori
Lori Hi, Lori, oh no, so sorry for your computer hiccups, it is annoying, is it not? Will you call him in again? I mean he did something wrong, now he should correct it.
Hehe, productive, you should have seen me today: labelling the rest of the jars, it is a finicky thing and I am not happy with the labels the way they are. I will get to work with Indesign and make something new (this will be my next post as well).
Have a lovely a Thursday, Lori, I will drop by later on.
Absolutely. A friend recently had a medical emergency, and visiting her in the hospital became the priority for a day that I’d planned. As long as we’re open and receptive to the unexpected, and not using situations or circumstances as “excuses” to not get to the “important stuff”, being fluid, flexible and attentive to what’s really important makes each day a success. Cheers! Kaarina
Late_Bloomers Nah – can’t get help from him, unfortunately. I don’t trust him to fix it. I’ll find another way. I may have to reinstall Windows 😮 That was an unforeseen event – I thought I’d found a local computer guy I could trust and it all went south. Ah well, It happens!
I’ve got a movie playing on the LFI porch today – a presentation by my spiritual mentor! 🙂
Talk to you later!
KDillabough Hi Kaarina, you are so right: it is about making choices and having options and not seeking the easy way out. Today’s post is about it. I so enjoyed being outside, feeling close to nature or the universe and I will carry this feeling with me all night long (or even longer!).
Have a beautiful evening, Kaarina! xoxo
Lori Late_Bloomers I know what you mean, you try to support local business and it does not work – frustrating!
I will hop over to your porch now …. see you there!
