When was the last time you made soap bubbles? And I mean: real soap bubbles, huge soap bubbles which will fly high up in the sky (well, weather and humidity permitting …)?
Catch a fleeting moment and treasure it, watch a child playing and giving total commitment to the here and now.

Gorgeous!!
@JanineRipper Is it not, my friend, Michael, is a master at it and you should his pictures taken in the Swiss alps. Bubbles and mountains mirrored in it!
Or fly a kite; enjoy the simple pleasures, right?
@bdorman264 Hi BIll, so happy to see back and in good shape I hope! I cannot remember when I last made soap bubbles and it was so amazing to see all the children, well actually people of all ages, approach and wanting to play along. Better than the rat catcher of Hammeln with his flute.
Thanks for sharing that Barbara. Strangely, those 15 seconds or less relaxed me. 🙂
@jpage.manuel Joy, you are absolutely right, thank you so much for drawing my attention to the meditative factor of it! I watched it again and then I wished it could go on for longer and longer …
I’m with Joy – I found this surprisingly soothing. I’m sure I will return to it throughout the week. Thanks for sharing this 🙂
@rachel_howells You make me a very happy girl, Rachel, thank you! What an awesome group we are!
Soothing somehow! I did make them with my cousins kid last week (remember the sun burn I was talking about!)
@Hajra Oyoyoy! But the bubbles were lovely, I hope! Next time, try the coconut oil treatment and send the virus flying!
I used to love blowing soap bubbles for the kids when they were little 🙂
@tandysinclair Hey Tandy, Thank you for stopping by and welcome. Yes, I did the same when my daughter was little and I did not imagine how much fun it would be to make these giant bubbles (the MO is not to blow but to gently move backwards and by moving the two sticks you can vary the size of the bubbles – amazing) and to see the smiling faces of the otherwise grumpy people walking by ;-)))
Haven’t done it in a while, but my kids and I enjoy this sort of carefree activity.
@TheJackB YES to that! Have a great week, Jack!
I didn’t know that I was missing so much! What a lovely idea!
@JSJ2020 Hey Muriel, neither did I! But it is so much fun and to share it with so many others, what could be better?
We have a bubble machine that blows out giant bubbles that the dog will chase for hours. Something very soothing about them. A zen moment 🙂
@Lucylastica2 Absolutely, Lucy, wish I had an hour long video of it, or? I cannot get Chica to chase the bubbles, somewhat she hates the smell of soap! I am glad her days of perfuming herself with cow dung are over, what’s even worse as a puppy she ate it and would come running to me with … do you really want to hear the rest of it?
@Late_Bloomers You need to get Chica some bacon flavoured bubbles. They’re fab and Tobes loves them even more than the smell of cow dung…but lets not exchange those stories here! lol
@Lucylastica2 Bacon flavoured bubbles? Where do you live? I thought this was only possible in the USA (sorry my American friends)! As you know I am coming to England quite soon, then we will have time share cow dung stories!
@Late_Bloomers You will have to let me know the dates and we should try and meet up, along with any other PBAU’ers who are around. Can hardly wait for cow dung story excahnge over a bottle of vino! lol
@Lucylastica2 YES to that, I will let you all know the dates per PM. Talking of vino: how was your bargain wine? It is a gorgeous spring day here so I will take Chica out now for a (unfortunately very short) walk and circumvent all animal droppings!
How fun! Thanks for sharing!
@MarthaGiffen Hi, Martha, thanks for stopping by! Yes, it was fun and I will do it again, although my daughter said she watched us from the bridge and thought “what are those two hippies doing down there”!
I did it a week ago! I play my trik. If you use a wool jumper or a wool pair of gloves you can actually play with bubles. You can touch them, bounce them because they won’t blast out. Try next time you play with them. Thanks for the post @Late_Bloomers
@ffab Hi ffab,
Thanks for stopping by and commenting. What a great tip, I will try it next time. Have a good day and three cheers to playing!
