Thuja Wood Boxes with Lid

Description

We took a one-day trip to Essaouira, this lovely and ancient town at the sea, and visited a woodcraft shop where they are manufacturing all kind of boxes, board games and small furniture using Thuja wood. Did you know that this is a special kind of wood also called arbor vitae (the tree of life), what a lovely story.

The very first thing I noticed was the intense fragrance of the wood. I brought back two boxes to enlarge my already considerable collection of boxes and whenever I open the lid the delicious wooden aroma takes me back to this magical country.
