Description

The craft of “tadelakt” is a Moroccan tradition, using shell lime from the Marrakech plateau, where the original tadelakt lime can be found. The word “tadelakt” translates as “to rub in”: olive soap is rubbed in resulting in a hydrophobic lime plaster used on both the interior and exteriors of buildings. It is the traditional coating of the palaces, hammams and bathrooms of the riads (traditional hotels) in Morocco. Tadelakt has a luxurious and soft tactile touch.

The jars are lovingly decorated with a metal knob on the lid and a metal ring on its bottom.

I placed a set of three jars and a tagine on a Chinese chest of drawers at the entrance, it looks great and helps me to keep order. Sun glasses, hair pins, lipsticks, receipts, coupons, keys etc. have their allocated homes now.

Tip: decorate your bathroom with them to keep your cotton pads in.
