A Day In The Life … Half Term

Daily Blogging So Far

Day #16

Half term: do we not get a holiday at half term?

What have I learnt so far, what insight have I gained?

  • Truth is that my daily journal writing gets shorter and shorter. Probably because I take the time allocated for it to write my daily posts.
  • But I am digressing, daily blogging has shown me so far:
  • I write faster and more focused
  • My technical skills have been honed
  • It is easy to find something interesting to blog about each day and I do that in consideration of your interests and inclinations.
  • My daily posts bring additional traffic on all main social media platforms such as twitter, Facebook, google+ and Pinterest (thanks to you who share it, you are all invited to a sumptuous Italian meal at my table, BYOB). I wish for more interaction in my comment section, though.
  • It needs organisation and discipline (I am working on it)
  • Blogging once a week now seems like a holiday and this was part of the reason why I started the September challenge. I wanted to prove to myself that I could do it, i.e. get back into the habit of posting once a week!

Day #16  Looking forward to the second half of September!

What do you think about daily posting? Or, maybe you are daily posting: what are the benefits and what are the disadvantages? Do you follow any blogs that post on a daily basis? And do you comment?

  1. Hi Barbara! I am lagging behind here!
To answer your questions, couldn’t do it,doesn’t matter, only yours and sometimes Josh’s, yes, when the topic grabs me!
As I said at the beginning, Kudos to you for doing this! I don’t know how thejoshuawilner has been doing this for so long!
Happy Tuesday! See you later today!
    Lori

  2. I don’t know how people carve out the time to blog daily: kudos to you! I do journal daily, but that’s just for me stream-of-consciousness. I don’t always get to sites that post daily, and in fact, my “visits” to many sites have been reduced, as has my commenting been reduced. I simply do what I can do…flit and fly, drop by when I can, comment when I believe I have something of interest or value to say, and to let people know I appreciate their words and works. Cheers! Kaarina

  3. Lori thejoshuawilner Hi Lori! Now I feel very honoured to be named in one breath with Josh, I mean he is been at it for ages whilst I limit myself to one month of daily posting. And I really do not know how I am doing it.
Thanks a ton and I am ever so curious to hear the latest news from you! See you later!

  4. KDillabough Neither do I, Kaarina! And I doubly appreciate your daily visits and support!
I read quite a lot of blog posts each day and will leave quietly by the back door when I have nothing meaningful to say. However, I share them quite often to show some appreciation. It is hard work!
And like I said above: my journal has suffered this month, I should eke out more time and play less!
