Passiflora and Dare to Care

It is early morning, I am sitting outside on a wooden bench at a wooden table in the campagna opposite a lovely town called Massa Marittima – a peaceful and serene setting in Southern Tuscany.

A world away from easy online services, a first time of putting up a blog post via my iPhone.

Today is October 3, day 3 of the month of challenge.

I am on a holiday with my mother and aunt, this is my week of caring for two dear ladies, well over 80, driving them from Switzerland to Tuscany, taking them food shopping and showing them around.

Sometimes, the responsibility is weighing me down, but to see their happy faces and feel their gratitude – blessed feeling.

And then I discovered this passiflora this morning in the garden, what is caring without passion?

  1. Often, it is easier to give $5 to a cause that is out there. We feel good about our selves because we have exercised our compassion and caring for the world. It’s good that we do good for a stranger. Yet we must also do good to those near us. It is harder to do. Our own transformation, however, demands this of us too.

Thank you for reminding us, Barbara.

Recently on my blog: Do you ignore the road signs too? And other social media DOHs. http://wp.me/pbg0R-rq

    1. @Faryna You are absolutely right, Stan, it is harder to be good to those close to us. It does not seem logical, does it? Should it not be a natural thing to be respectful and good to those nearest? Maybe it takes that proverbial step back to raise our awareness!

Have a wonderful day and thanks for your thoughtful comment

      😉 Barbara
